  1. Motion I: Motion made by G. Himes (District VI), and seconded by R. Cameron (EVP), to raise the per diem rate to $60, effective immediately.
    Motion passed: 11 yes, 2 no (Districts X and XI).
  2. Motion II: Motion by A. Argenio (District I), seconded by J. Marsh (District IV), to direct the Publications Committee to look into the possibilities of including drone content in the current Park Pilot publication.
    Motion passed by acclamation.
  3. Motion III: Motion made by Rich Hanson (President), and seconded by B. Wood (District XI) to appoint the head of the AMA Safety Committee as the AMA’s National Safety Officer.
    Motion passed by acclamation.
  4. Motion IV: Proposed by J. Marsh (District IV), and seconded by Bryan Wood (District XI), to have NAA take over sole proprietorship of FAI licensing beginning as soon as possible.
    Motion passed (NAA representative abstained).
  5. Motion V: Moved by T. Jesky (District VII), seconded by E. Williams (District II), NAA to process National and World records, AMA to process AMA records, but all submissions are to come through AMA.
    Motion passed (Abstention NAA).
  6. Motion VI: Moved by E. Williams (District II), seconded by R. Cameron (EVP), to approve the 2017 and 2018 Executive Director’s compensation package.
    Motion passed unanimously.
  7. Motion VII: Moved by E. Willlams (District II), seconded by M. Radcliff (District III), to approve the Interim Executive Director’s compensation as discussed in Executive Session.
    Motion passed unanimously.
  8. Motion VIII: Moved by E. Williams (District II), seconded by B. Wood (District XI), to approve funding to create a website for the Executive Director search process.
    Motion passed unanimously.
  9. Motion IX: Moved by B. Wood (District XI), seconded by A. Argenio (District I), to accept the recommendations of the Nominations Guidelines Committee.
    Motion passed unanimously.
  10. Motion X: Moved by M. Radcliff (District III), seconded by B. Wood (District XI), to accept the Flying Site Assistance Grant Committee’s recommendations.
    Motion passed unanimously.

New Business

  1. Motion XI: Motion by Randy Cameron (EVP), seconded by G. Himes (District VI), that the Academy of Model Aeronautics move forward with the development of the Affiliate Partnership Organization concept, which allows the creation of contractual agreements with organizations external to AMA. Any agreement with an Affiliate Partner requires Executive Council approval before the contract is executed.
    Motion passed unanimously.
  2. Mark Radcliff (District III) read a brief history/obituary of Ron Van Putte.
  3. Motion XII: Moved by M. Radcliff (III), seconded by Tim Jesky (District VII), to dedicate the 2018 Pattern Nationals to Ron Van Putte.
    Motion passed by acclamation.
  4. Motion XIII: Moved by R. Cameron (EVP), and seconded by E. Williams (District II), to give the ED the authority to negotiate with Aero News Network concerning the prospective documentary project to be funded out of the Government Relations line item.
